Exness is our recommendation for planning your trading costs. Its account range lets you choose a pricing structure suited to your trades. This comparison examines spreads, commissions and holding costs alongside XM, IC Markets, Pepperstone, FP Markets and Tickmill, then explains how to select your account.

Published structures: compare like with like

Broker and reviewed source Commission-free pricing Commission pricing Holding check
Exness Help Center Standard and Pro Raw Spread, Zero Swap-free status and administration
XM Global Check Standard/Ultra Low terms by account Do not transplant another regional offer Islamic-option conditions
IC Global / ic.com MetaTrader Standard MetaTrader and cTrader Raw Swap-free schedule and grace
Pepperstone international pages Standard except share CFDs Razor on applicable categories General overnight funding
FP Markets en-ch pages Standard Raw Islamic-account administration
Tickmill UK Classic Raw on applicable categories Islamic-account handling

These catalogues are not necessarily available in the same country. The table does not compare regulatory protections between entities.

Turn commission into a round-trip amount

Reviewed pages advertise USD 3 per lot per side for FP Raw and Tickmill Raw on applicable products, USD 3.50 for IC MetaTrader Raw, and Pepperstone Razor commission from USD 3.50. Exness Raw advertises up to USD 3.50 on most instruments. These figures do not cover every product or platform alike.

USD 3 per side means USD 6 round trip; USD 3.50 means USD 7. A per-USD-100,000 unit on a cTrader offer needs a notional conversion, not automatic substitution with one lot. Sources: FP, Tickmill UK, IC, Pepperstone and Exness Raw.

Three scenarios change the answer

All figures are fictional; A and B represent no actual broker.

Scenario A B Illustrative result
Entry and exit without holding USD 5 spread, no commission USD 1 spread + USD 6 commissions A: 5; B: 7 USD
Same order with two overnight charges 5 + 2 × USD 4 7 + no applicable holding fee A: 13; B: 7 USD
Same explicit fees, different execution USD 7 + USD 2 adverse difference USD 7 without difference A: 9; B: 7 USD

A ranking from row one may reverse in row two. These educational examples show why entry, exit and holding costs should be compared on a matching basis.

Build a usable comparison

Choose a matching instrument, size and account currency. Record entities, account types, platforms and date. Observe spreads at matching times, separating normal sessions, announcements and rollover. Add both commission sides, conversion and actual holding charges. Keep executed prices when analysing real trades.

This method supports account selection with a clear view of fees. The table presents published conditions; the numerical examples illustrate the full-cost calculation.

Why choose Exness to plan your trading costs?

Exness offers several pricing structures within one broker. Standard uses spread-based pricing without a separate trading commission; Raw Spread separates the spread and commission. This range helps match an account to trading frequency and volume. See the Standard and Raw Spread specifications.

Stable spreads on covered instruments help plan entry costs. High-volatility periods are an exception under Exness’s spread policy.

For overnight positions, swap-free status offers a cost benefit on eligible instruments. Check account eligibility and any applicable administrative fees when calculating holding costs.
