Exness vs IC Markets: we favour Exness for readers comparing several account structures and checking swap-free eligibility. IC Markets Global remains a serious alternative for Raw pricing and platform choice. The official IC Markets Global links reviewed now redirect to ic.com; this article concerns that offering, not the European entity.
Exness vs IC Markets comparison table
| Criterion | Exness | IC Markets Global / IC |
|---|---|---|
| No trading commission | Standard and Pro | MetaTrader Standard |
| Spread plus commission | Raw Spread and Zero | MetaTrader and cTrader Raw Spread |
| MetaTrader Raw fee | Up to USD 3.50 per lot per side on most instruments | Advertised USD 3.50 per lot per side |
| cTrader fee unit | Do not transplant a MetaTrader fee | Quoted per USD 100,000 |
| Other offerings | Account-specific terms | Raw Pro and Raw Pro+ shown as early access |
| Swap-free | Conditional status, defined instruments | Option with holding-fee schedule |
| Stable spreads | Documented for selected instruments | Raw pricing; comparative stability not measured |
| Platform choice | Selected account and platform | MetaTrader, cTrader and TradingView by account |
IC accounts and Exness Raw Spread. USD 3.50 is not the round-trip amount: two sides make USD 7 per lot where that rate applies.
Compare Raw Spread with Raw Spread
A commission-free account and a Raw account are different pricing products. First compare the two Raw accounts on the same contract, then compare the result with Standard or Pro. Otherwise, selecting each broker’s smallest headline number creates a misleading winner.
The IC catalogue also shows Raw Pro and Raw Pro+ offerings in early access. Assess them separately: access conditions do not make their fees generally available to every customer. Potential promotions or volume rebates are not included in our calculations.
The potential swap-free advantage
The IC swap-free page describes holding fees after a possible grace period, with instrument exceptions. No swap therefore does not mean no overnight cost at IC.
Exness swap-free eligibility and possible administration charges also require checking. An advantage may arise when your instrument is covered, your eligibility remains valid and no administration fee applies. In that specific situation, holding costs could influence the choice. We have not measured that advantage on a live account.
Platforms, advantages and limitations
Exness: several pricing structures and documentation about stable spreads. Check swap-free conditions and regional professional-account funding requirements.
IC: MetaTrader/cTrader/TradingView choices by account and documented Raw pricing. Check different commission units by platform and holding charges on the swap-free option.
If a particular platform is essential, confirm compatibility with the exact account before registering. A small price difference may not compensate for losing a tool your workflow depends on.
Why choose Exness to plan your trading costs?
Exness offers several pricing structures within one broker. Standard uses spread-based pricing without a separate trading commission; Raw Spread separates the spread and commission. This range helps match an account to trading frequency and volume. See the Standard and Raw Spread specifications.
Stable spreads on covered instruments help plan entry costs. High-volatility periods are an exception under Exness’s spread policy.
For overnight positions, swap-free status offers a cost benefit on eligible instruments. Check account eligibility and any applicable administrative fees when calculating holding costs.
Compare costs on the same basis
Account, contract, volume and holding time must remain comparable. The broker costs comparison explains the method. The Exness trade cost guide covers spread, commissions and holding.
